At Alphabets Childcare, we believe children learn and develop best in an interactive, empowering environment where they can explore the world around them. Self-awareness and confidence flourish in a setting filled with tenderness, love, and care, and our staff are dedicated to providing the experiences, opportunities, and materials every child needs to thrive.

Our curriculum uses a hands-on approach built around two primary areas of development, further divided into seven key areas of early years learning.

Primary areas

The foundation of how children grow

These three areas form the core of early development, supporting every other skill a child will build on top of them.

Communication and language development

We give children opportunities to express their ideas and feelings effectively, through a highly interactive platform that builds essential communication and language skills.

Personal, social and emotional development

We support children in building self-confidence and the ability to form positive relationships, with activities that foster respect and strong interpersonal connections, appropriate group behavior, and confidence in their own abilities.

Physical development

We help children understand and appreciate the importance of physical activity so they can make healthy choices, with consistent opportunities to develop balance, coordination, and control.

Specific areas

Building academic and creative skills

Once the foundation is in place, these four areas round out a well-balanced early education.

Literacy

Through a wide range of reading, we share stories with children to help them link sounds and letters as they begin to read and write. All materials are carefully selected to stimulate and engage their interests.

Mathematics

We engage children in activities that build a strong foundation in numeracy, helping them understand numbers, develop counting skills, perform simple addition and subtraction, and describe shapes, spaces, and measures.

Knowledge and understanding of the world

We guide and support children as they discover and observe the environments, places, and technologies that influence their lives and the lives of others.

Expressive arts and design

We support each child's creative development by encouraging them to explore ideas and feelings through art, music, performance, and role-playing, giving them multiple ways to express themselves.

We continue to ensure that the learning journey for each child is carefully managed, monitored, and tracked, remaining committed to fostering best practices that improve the development of every child in our care.
